Comparing XP12 and GFv2. It feels like default XP is using procedural generated placement where as GFv2 seems much more accurate placement. The color change in leaf is probably over done in default. For GFv2 could probably use more season change visual as it looks too leafy and "green" for end of November.

I see... its all about our tree type data there , (many evergreen trees e.g conifers). I'm sure in real life there are some deciduous trees among them, that give more natural color mix. For example here is a field( KGVE) near KCHO , with a better mix, where evergreen trees are not as many as in KCHO. Anyway, I'll try to adjust some texture colors or .for files without affecting the balance all over the world.
